We throw an occasional party, like to show off our new fabrics, and keep in touch about cool stuff going on at the shop
Most tailor shops hide their workmanship, doing it behind closed doors, but here we invite your curiosity, questions and interest. In fact, we want you to create with us. While on your way to the Mezzanine with our Stylists, you'll walk through the heart of our working area. Say hi to the tailors along the way- see the cutting, measuring and stitching in process, and be inspired by the other suits you see where others have chosen a unique way to express themselves. The actual making is some of the best parts of what is happening here- and we don’t want you to miss out on that.
Then it’s to the creating table with you! Our Stylists will chat with you about why you decided to come in and what you’re hoping for, and they may even have some starting fabrics laid out for your perusal if you indicated what you’re seeking on our online form. However, most customers come in with only a vague idea of what they want and are looking for help. You don’t have to know all the answers- in fact we want to take you on a quick guided tour of our over 5,000 fabrics available and at your disposal!
Without a doubt, we have the most luxurious, eclectic, and exhaustive range of upper-end suiting fabrics available in the United States. This collection represents long standing relationships we’ve developed with the best mills in the United Kingdom and Italy. Whether you’re looking for a worsted wool you can walk into the courtroom with, a tweed that will survive a proper duck hunt on the Scottish Coast, a velvet tuxedo that will take everyone’s breath away, or something truly unique for your wedding, we’ve got that. If it all sounds overwhelming, don’t worry. Our stylists are experts at breaking down the differences between fabrics and teaching in a comfortable and informative space. You’ll walk away knowing so much more than you did before, and at the same time our Stylists will guide and narrow down the choices until we get to the perfect options.

Once your fabric choices are in place, we move you into a selection process to stylize your garment and add in those personal touches that make the suit as unique and expressive as your best self. There are subtle but important customizations that take a suit from “a nice suit” to “That person looks SHARP. Tell me your secret”. There are some features that are non-negotiable for any garment leaving the shop. Our suits are all made using full canvas construction, (an inner structure which guarantees it will hold its form for years), and most buttonholes are hand sewn for superior detailing. In addition to that, with the help of your stylist you’ll choose everything from your lapel style and width, lining, and buttons, down to the width of your trouser and style of waistband. Again, our stylists are here to take you through step by step and to offer options, make suggestions, and look for what makes you light up when we get to that perfect choice.

Can we take a moment to toot our own horn? Your styling appointment is a transformative experience not only because of the fabrics and options, but also because you are working with some of the best informed and most skilled stylists available. Not only do they hold a huge amount of knowledge, but they also are experts at measurement and fit. We take over double the amount of standard measurements to ensure that your garment will fit like a second skin. Our measurements are informed by the style choices made in the consultation to ensure your own unique silhouette. Whether we are making your garment in house bespoke, or are using our Made to Measure process, the right measurements will ensure that this is the best suit you’ve ever purchased.

After our initial consultation, you’ll go home to giddily dream about how good you’re going to look, and we’ll get to work with the ordering, creating and stitching. When we’re ready for the next part of the journey, we call you in for a second fitting. This your first try on with your suit and our first look to see what trimmings, hemmings and adjustments we can make to hone in on that perfect fit. For our made to measure process, sometimes this is the last fitting and after those adjustments your suit will be ready to go home. For Bespoke, it is expected that we will do 3-4 iterations as your garment comes into being.

After our last meeting, you’ll leave the shop suit in hand. We know that the hand sewn buttonholes will hold up to the most minute examination, the fit will give space for movement and hold structure that emphasizes your favorite features. We know you’ll be 100% ready for your event, trip or everyday wear you planned to use this for. But more than that, our hope is that this represents a transformative experience for you. That this helps you to know that you deserve to look damn good. That you can have that extra boost of confidence. That you can elevate your frequency to whatever endeavor is next for you- and that we’ll see you back soon for another adventure into marvelous you.
