Our latest fabrics from Dormeuil’s fall/winter collection for the upcoming season includes four new books. With fabrication for full suiting along with jacketing, it’s safe to say that they’ve continued to position their brand with the same excellence in every iteration of fabric. We’ve compiled a breakdown of the collections below.
Nuage
This one is an exciting new bunch from Dormeuil. Nuage, means “cloud” in French and this collection certainly evokes the feelings of clouds at a sunset. Bright oranges, deep blues, along with patterns in contemporary checks make this a collection deserved for fall and winter suiting. While this collection leans more in the direction of jacketing, we think a full three-piece suit would be phenomenal in any of these color ways.

15 Point 7
A super 160s wool, this bunch is especially regarded for its “ulra-fine wool from the fleece of New Zealand Merion sheep”. The fabric is incredibly lightweight and fine, while still maintaining strength. It is entirely 100% wool with patterns for more subdued suiting, with herringbones, birdseye, a plain weave, and subtle checks. We recommend this fabric for travel as well as for essential suiting for work and everyday occasions.

Amadeus
It’s a common misconception that wool is only for the cool months. While this collection is made of pure extrafine Merino wool, this fabric is meant to be versatile for year-round suiting. What’s especially notable about it is Dormeuil’s development of worsted cool wool. The weaving process results in wool that is ideal for both milder and warmer weather. It can keep moisture away from the skin, ideal for hotter climates–as well as supporting the body’s temperature in cooler climates. In addition, there’s the feeling of an excellent handle with stretch while still maintaining an elegant drape.

Genesis Plains
Lasting comfort begins with a super 110s natural-stretch wool that is designed for four-season wear. Dormeuil continues to display its commitment to responsible sourcing through ensuring the wool is ethically sourced, as Genesis Plains is entirely designed from RWS-certified wool. Overall this collection is just as vibrant as it is comfortable.
